Flu Shot – drive right up!

Flu shot cartoon

Flu Shot

Flu shot season has arrived and this is not the year to hem-and-haw and wait-and-see, so unless your physician tells you otherwise get it done.

I went for my yearly high-powered flu shot this week and instead of rolling up the rim (which is a Canadian well-known ad campaign for the coffee vendor, Tim Horton’s) I rolled up my sleeve, and bam the needle deed was done!

It was quick and smooth. I’d vote to keep this procedure in place once we do move beyond COVID. I’d be happy to consider it the new way to receive a flu shot.

New Ways

COVID certainly has showcased resiliency at its best when you think of all the new ways people are getting things done and trying to keep their businesses afloat. I never thought I’d see fine-dining available as take-out style or the reinvention of drive-in theatres.

We can always stay in our cars to view the Santa Claus Parade, but I suppose being in the crowd is part of the charm of the season.

Jammies

I don’t know about you but I find myself wearing a lot of Jammie-pants these days. Staying home all the time does offer some cozy comforts. Luckily for me, I have a drawer full of super soft star pants.

It was a pleasant summer here at the tip of Canada; no floods or fires. I feel sad for all the suffering that so many people are enduring this year. Let’s face it, 2020 has been kaka.

Mask UP

We must stay vigilant and continue to wear a mask and adhere to physical distancing guidelines. This winter will be a tough one but let’s all stick together (but apart) and help each other stay healthy and sane. Reach out by phone or online, there is no need to be isolated.

I’d also like to remind you to be prepared by downloading the free medical profile tool from this website on the home page – just sign up and you’ll get it right away. I hope you do not need it but I know it will help you communicate with emergency paramedics if you are too sick to do so.

And now that the weather is colder, it’s time to fire up your bubble mentality and hunker down.

This might be a good time to consider a new project and if you need any tech help with your winter projects be sure and find me over at https://suzyweb.com and I’ll get you tech-able in no time.

In the meantime be gentle with yourself but be sure and get a flu shot.
